I, for one, am not interested in celebrating ONE ASPECT of the Palestinian/ Arab culture. Don’t care that they invented Algebra. Don’t care that they cook in an interesting way. Do not care that they wrap their heads in rags, nor why. Do not care that Mighty Mo’ et al. married girls, nor what their excuse was. Don’t care that our numbers originally come from theirs. I DO NOT CARE about these cultures.
Why do I sense these cultures, almost every day, in one way or another, are being JAMMED down my throat?? Call me paranoid, but I call it ‘wary.’
Well, ya gotta admit that Jewish cuisine is not famous. Too bad that two ethnic groups in one region share the inability to cook. BTW, I’m a Cajun from Louisiana and I cook every day. So if you all want to sell me on Jewish cuisine beyond chicken soup I’m open to ideas.
