Unfortunately, there were way too many fearful FReepers who were too sore afraid of Dems Bustamante and Angelides to join us in supporting a real fiscally conservative Republican named Tom McClintock.

Just like the national race for pres. Too afraid to support a conservative for fear of losing the moderates.

Arnold sure fooled me. His first two years were reasonable especially when he tried to take on the public employee unions about pensions. Since he lost this battle, he has been a changed man. He may even be worse than Gray Davis. He is popular now but the budget situation and resulting recession will sink his popularity. Perhaps there will be a time for a true conservative. Throw every rat and rino out.

All that "he/she can't win" conservative flinching nonsense creates a overwhelming "self-fufilling prophecy" every time it's tried!!! The liberal Dems know this and spawn it amongst us... EVERYTIME!!!
