Speaking of Reagan, didn’t he say something about not attacking fellow Republicans?

He wouldn’t be another Reagan, I would compare him to the first George Bush.

The liberal MSM must be laughing their asses off. LOL

Yeah!

To think so many of theirs could get so far in the GOP.

Maybe Rush will have to step in and endorse Thompson to put an end to this crap . I doubt it will happen , but it will put this looming catastrophe to rest quickly .

He certainly didn’t mean that to hold during a primary! After all, HE ran in a Primary and attacked his own opponents! The debate about candidates is perfect for the Primary.... or do you support the quashing of free speech?

That article wasn’t written by a Utah newspaper. Maybe you should actually read it.

So, since facts don't matter to you and you only want to hear what you like whether it is truth or not, why do you bother reading political sites? Seems to me you should go back to Porn or an entertainment site of some sort. Politics isn't your interest.

What say you head in the sand Romneybots?

Mitt is a NE Republican. How conservative he is depends on who you are comparing him against and which issues you are most concerned about. My main issues are taxes, immigration and WoT. On those issues he is talking a good game but his record is weak. Of course he ran a leftist state. Based on his record and overall I find him more liberal than Fred Thompson but more conservative than Giuliani or Huckabee and far more conservative than almost any of the dem candidates - again on issues I am focusing on. I support Fred now but he seems to be going nowhere so I may end up becoming a Mitt supporter after all or have to take another look at McCain. But my decisions will be based on comparative analysis not absolutes.

We all have opinions. :-)

"When Romney is the Republican nominee, will you vote for him in November? Or will you vote for Clinton instead? What say you head in the sand Romneyhaters?"

-----

I'll vote for him. Holding my nose and with great sadness that our party has come to this: nominating a pro-amnesty, government-health-care sponsoring, gay-marriage-supporting, abortion-funding, Reagan-bashing, gun-grabber.

Alas, Hillary is even worse. But our party has truly sunk to a level I never thought I'd see in the heady days of 1994. Nominating (potentially) a Massachussets lefty in hopes of avoiding an even worse fate.

Fred Thompson recieved a lot of attention before he entered the race and for a month or so after he entered the race, he simply committed many errors during the campaign and he failed to connect with the non political junkies of the Republican base. I do not think at all that the liberal media has a lot of influence on how the Republican base vote, Fred Thompson simply failed to connect with the base, there is no other explanation for that.

It would be refreshing to see an attack on Romney that references something newer than 1994, but one hardly ever does.

I'm not voting then, I guess. I'm not voting for a RINO. They do more damage than liberal democrats. Better to have your enemy in front of you than standing next to you with his arm around your neck and knife in your back.

Which is exactly the way RINO's operate.

Where Reagan showed a steady ideological movement, Romney is a merely a LIAR.

Exactly right! And I would add to the "liar" part, only expediency, none of which one could say was any motivation political on the part of Reagan or of who he was as a person.

You are way overrating Rush Limbaugh influence on the voters, even Rush Limbaugh will never claim he possesses such powers.

Actually, I was insulted that you so blithely disregard your duty to be an informed voter. I am insulted that a person like you who couldn’t care less about what the candidates REALLY stand for and have done in office previously has the capacity to vote! I am insulted that you are so casual about your sacred duty. I am insulted that the welfare of this country doesn’t seem to mean diddly to you.
