Republican moderates look to chart new course in Iowa

Are they panting for McCain, a candidate with a “broad appeal.”

The man who wouldn’t “torture” a fly.

I don’t say that lightly.

My congressman, Todd Platts (R-19th District PA), endorsed McCain earlier this year.

Congressman Platts is a member of the RINO “Republican Main Street Partnership.”

We must hang together. It would be wonderful to have the luxury of being only a party of true conservatives but we don't have the numbers to defeat RATS without the RINOs. Do I like it? No, but that's being realistic.

If the true conservatives hang together in the primaries, we can advance our candidates and then we'll advance but to not play ball if our guy does not get the nomination is to retreat and allow the RATS to advance.

I prefer to hang on to whatever territory we've conquered until we get the next chance to advance.

Ugh. Romney himself is a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership, too (or at least was when he was governor). I just learned that Soros contributed funding to that group -- ugh again. :(
