E-mails have been placed online detailing the early efforts to take the land with numerous public officials named. Mark Platts, brother of our Congressman Todd Platts (R-19th District PA) was the brainchild of this scheme to build a "heritage park" on the Kohr family land.

Also some of our leading citizens like the richest ones and the Chamber of Commerce head were out in support of the scheme.
A RINO commissioner (Mitrick) and even a Democrat one (Kilgore) were booted out in last spring's primary elections over this.
Its a sad mess.
We the taxpayers picking this up because of our political and business leaders folly and or greed. Some business people would have benefitted from building a "heritage park" on the land within sight of an existing state park.
The farm owners were hurt badly by this being unable to sell land to pay their back taxes they were hounded by the local politicos to give up their land at a low-ball price.
They also allege the suicide of their mother over the matter.
Have we become a nation of sheep who allow ourselves to be led without questioning? It would appear so.
Why do we think everything should be politically correct? Our rights are slowly but surely being taken away from us.
The right to own a gun in Washington, D.C. is now illegal. It has one of the highest crime rates in the country. Obviously that law is not working.
Our kids are not allowed to pray in school.
We have allowed our government to take away our property in the name of eminent domain.
We seem to be losing control over what our children are being taught in our public schools.
The guys pursuing this taking are the descendants of the very people the early Scandinavian settlers had fled in Lancaster County.
Before this fraudulent misuse of government power progresses further, someone needs to consult several early American historical specialists.
He (Todd Platts) opposed any version of Bush’s school voucher proposal, opposed offshore oil drilling, supported increasing governmentally regulated fuel efficiency standards for automobiles, voted for the Matthew Shepard Act a hate crimes prevention bill, and supported the McCain-Feingold campaign finance legislation.
