Fear Factor: 'Everybody Scared to Death of Clintons'
NewsBusters ^

Chris Matthews was in full flight on today's Morning Joe, vividly expressing himself on everything from the historic shockwaves that an Obama Iowa victory would send, to Media Matters service as a Hillary front, to the role of NewsBusters. But the Hardball host was especially vivacious in describing the way the Clintons use intimidation to keep people in line.
CHRIS MATTHEWS: In the world, in the universe, the biggest American political story of modern times if Obama wins the Iowa caucuses. It will be all over the world; it will sweep the headlines in every newspaper in the world: friend, foe or neutral. It will be the Third World story of the century, of the last century [Barack's Time Machine?], the biggest story of modern Third World history, really, if Obama wins the American presidential caucus in Iowa.

If Hillary can't hold off a lightweight nobody like Barack Obama, how she is going to fare in the general election?

Chris also suggested we should strap down the college students who don’t vote and inject them with truth serum (I think he said sodium pentothal) to find out what was more important than voting.... sounds a bit like torture to me!

If Hillary can't hold off a lightweight nobody like Barack Obama, how she is going to fare in the general election? If she gets her buddy Bloomie to jump in and siphon off GOP votes, she'll do just fine.
Never forget: the Clintons win the presidency by plurality, not majority.

The Dems will all come home + vote fraud + airhead young women who would probably not vote = Hillary win.

Bloomberg will not take Rep votes. He will hurt the Democrats because he will take Ind votes otherwise going to the lefty

That intimidation factor is why the media has played so nice with the Clintons for the last 7 years — they don’t want to be on the receiving end of Hillary’s wrath, if they go against her and she does win the White House.
When Russert popped the inevitability bubble at the debate he moderated, that showed up the fact that Hillary wasn’t the heir-apparent to the Democrat nomination. With Obama's rise, the media could perceive a Clinton defeat. If Hillary continues to sink and fails to win a few of the early primaries, she could lose momentum and become a footnote in the annals of historical also-rans. For her, like for Kerry in 04, this is her one real shot at the White House; if she loses early or loses in November, she probably won't get another chance.

I caught some of this morning’s show, as usual over my morning coffee.
The only thing I came away from it with was Mathews can’t shut up while on air. He’s so in love with the sound of his own voice you can see him masterbating while looking in a mirror......

If she gets her buddy Bloomie to jump in and siphon off GOP votes, she'll do just fine. What Republican would vote for Bloomberg if they knew his record? The same can be said for Koch, Dinkins or any other NYC mayor. :-).

For her, like for Kerry in 04, this is her one real shot at the White House; if she loses early or loses in November, she probably won't get another chance. 2016 is well past her "Best By" date, but she might have a second chance in 2012 if she isn't running against an imcumbent Democrat. Expect a lot of anti-Obama rumors popping up from her corps of flying monkeys if he is the nominee.
