Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.

Perhaps an NRA endorsement or a major political figure?

I’m not supporting McCain for the nomination, but I think that remark was really ghastly. He was a tortured American POW, for heaven’s sake. Show some respect.

We end up allowing a lot of strange things to happen to the culture by letting political correctness silence us. It's just a fact that prior to the 1960s, being taken POW as someone whose circumstances would undermine the war effort wouldn't be considered heroic. Think of FDR's son being taken POW during WW2; it's unimaginable.

Two of the three most undermining military figures of the Vietnam Conflict/War have been serious presidential candidates in the last 3 campaign seasons. I suppose William Calley is waiting for 2012. Undermining by circumstances, not by design, at least in McCain and possibly Calley's case.

Most people understand “trophy wife” to be perjorative. It implies home-wrecker or shallow or valueless beyond physical attractiveness or “bimbonic.” It’s an insult to the woman and the man who married her.

My understanding of the definition of "trophy wife" is the same as that given in Wikipedia, and in the top definitions at urbandictionary.com. Good looking "status symbol" younger woman married to a wealthy older man. It implies that the man values looks, perhaps excessively, and the woman values the easy life, perhaps excessively. To me the term does not imply "bimbonic" or "home wrecker." It need not be an insult, and can even be a term of endearment.

Well Fox sure is a cheerleader for the other 2, Mitt and Rudy.

I don’t watch Fox much anymore.

Fox was the first to shoot at Thompson, over somehthing as stupid as his shoes so its only fair to fight back, don’t you agree?

Bigh went outside working on his car.

This is his wife and I just wanted to say I’ve been reading your posts as well and all I can say is.....’YOU’RE AN IDIOT’.

Thank you...that is all.

Oh..and I will be here, so post away.

I haven’t hit ‘abuse’ on anyone in a long time.

I never heard that they attacked his shoes.

Fred needs to get out there and be more visible. Without some kind of major publicity, the polls are not in his favor. Although do we really believe the polls? We shouldn’t.

This is a case of the gullible believing what the MSM says. Fred is doing up to five stops a day in Iowa. He couldn't be working any harder. I read where someone had checked and he has the second toughest schedule of any of the candidates.

The votes are coming.

I’m on the ground and things seem to be going amazingly well. Fred is our man—he’s our only viable conservative.

You haven’t read too many of my posts, then. I suppose I am laughing at clowns that can’t think more than a few steps ahead.

Congratulations on a very successful day of trolling. Your 90 or so posts (in just this one thread) have netted you many more in replies. Most of them were from sincere people who actually care about the subject and who don't really understand the sport of trolling and how much pleasure trolls get from doing what they do.

No, he actually gives me the creeps because we all know what a terrible person he is! Was making a point that
many do consider him good looking, and if so it still does not make him a good leader.

Losing in Iowa and then in New Hampshire... the same as what many seem to say will cause Thompson to leave.

How can you say Fred has no chance at all when not a single vote has been cast?”

OK. We’ll see.
