i find the notes added after the article was written saying the boy was taken from his family?
wheres the lawsuit?
If it just me, or is this a horribly written article? If I were familiar with the story to begin with, I would understand what she was saying. But since this was all new to me, her desperate attempts at innuendo confuse the reader into wondering what actually was going on in the 1st half of the article.
How long were these moments?
ping for later info
I googled up several better written articles on the incident. It wasn’t a panther, but it was an animal - not human assault. My bet is a feral dog

What type of wild beast would do such a thing?

FORT DRUM - A panther wasnt behind todays mauling of a 3-year-old boy, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
While panther sniffing dogs scoured the area near Northeast Ninth Avenue where the boy was attacked by an animal, a Fish and Wildlife biologist determined the childs wounds werent consistent with an attack from the species, Fish and Wildlife Spokesperson Dani Moschella said.
Panthers generally attack the head and neck, Moschella said: “And when they attack, they kill.”
The boy was in stable condition after being transferred from Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee to St. Marys Medical Center in West Palm Beach, according to the Sheriffs Office.
He was playing in the yard and, when his mother and grandfather went outside to check on him, they found him on the ground bleeding and badly hurt near the familys dog pen.
The incident occurred at about 12:24 p.m. in the 33700 block of North East Ninth Avenue, according to the Sheriffs Office.
Officials couldnt detail the boys wounds and by early evening hadnt determined what type of animal was responsible for the attack.
A panther attack on a human would have been be the first in the state’s history, Moschella said.
