Hunter won’t be getting the Log Cabin vote....

On the other end of the political spectrum is California Congressmember Duncan Hunter, who is right-wing columnist Ann Coulters favorite candidate.
In response to criticism of her use of the word fag to describe both former Sen. John Edwards and former Vce-President Al Gore, Coulter told ABC News: “Actually, my favorite candidate is [Rep.] Duncan Hunter [R-CA], and he is magnificent. The problem is most people say, ‘Who’s Duncan Hunter?’ He’s a genuine war hero. He has one son, I think, in Iraq, one in Afghanistan. He is good on every single issue. He has been out front on building a wall [to stop illegal immigration]. He did build a wall at San Diego. He’s very good on the life issue. He’s good on everything.”
Whats good for Hunter and Coulter is terrible for LGBT people. He cosponsored a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman; he opposes hate crimes legislation that extends protection based on sexual orientation and gender identity; he opposes letting gays serve openly in the U.S. Military. In fact, during an interview with 60 Minutes, Hunter suggested that European countries that allow gays to serve openly are weak: “We aren’t the Brits, we’re not the Europeans, we’re not the Swedes, The Fallujahs of the world, the Ramadis of the world that require heavy combat and lots of firefighting capabilitythose are the places the Americans go The other countries tend to go to the so-called peacekeeper zones, where they have fewer firefights and less contact with the enemy,” he said.
“And the European nations show little will to send large contingents of their military people into dangerous places When we risk doing away with this system that works, where American families sit around the dinner table and they make a decision that their young men or young woman is going to go into this military because they share the values of that military? ...Or should we experiment at a time when our military is totally volunteer, when it’s extremely capable, and perhaps lose that capability or perhaps lose those numbers, perhaps lose those reenlistments, and perhaps lose that effectiveness?”
Both Kucinich and Hunter are considered long-shots to win their Partys presidential nominations.
I'll tell you what. I'll be man enough to tell the entire forum that I was wrong should Hunter win the election. Will you be man enough to admit that you looked like a fool if Hunter never crawls out of single digits?
>>>>Republican Presidential candidate Congressman Duncan Hunter will be making a stop in Northern Nevada on December 27 and 28, 2007. He will be accompanied by his Honorary Campaign Chairman General Chuck Yeager.

Thank you for your wonderful words and support Chuck Yeager! God Bless You.
I think Duncan Hunter is the ONLY candidate left that wouldn’t get a vote from LGBT people.
>>>When did she endorse him?
When did who endorse who?
There aren’t any differences between the RINOs and the Democrats.
I’m writing Hunter in if I have to.
I’m a Hunter guy to the end. I think folks will be surprised when the actual votes are counted.
BTTT
Janet Reno (sarc. play on headline) ;-)
What if....? The MSM reported after the election that the Republicans lost the election when millions of voters wrote in Duncan Hunter for president? Everyone would go nuts BUT!! I bet no one would ever say Duncan who? again! :)
If Duncan loses, there probably will be a civil war. He is the only one running that won’t sign those remaining treaties with the UN.
Now I get it. Sorry, still scatter brained from the holiday roller coaster :)
That was funny.
that is true!
