I thought it was unconstitutional for Americans to accept titles of nobility. If not, I’d like to put my name in the hat for Duke of South Georgia, please.

Aren’t those juxtaposed images amazing? Those noses are eerily similar.

A distant relative of my husband’s is named Milady. It’s pronounced (almost) like Melody.

That would be the lovely and talented Ophelia Ford. Quite a class act, I’m told.

Juggling pins weigh about one pound. Regarding my comment about stupid names, I was referring to Sir Isaac, not your tag. Hope that there was no misunderstanding.

In advance infantry training, after Boot Camp, one of the instructors was a corporal named General James.
Corporal General James.....and right before we finished, he got busted to Private General James, USMC.

Some parents are too clueless to be embarrassed. This is almost as bad as when Mr. and Mrs. Jablomie named their new son Heywood.

And to think Harold Ford, Jr. almost won a senate seat from Tennessee back in 2006.
He’s actually the sane one of the bunch.

It was not unusual in the black community to name children Lawyer,General,Major,Captain, etc so when the white man would not address you as “Mister”so and so at least your first name would force him to show some respect.
The whole “Sir”this and that is just a continuation of that tendency.I know a few “Sir’s”from my working in the schools. Its like all the girls named Precious,Unique and Empress-a way to bring elegance into a very non elegant environment.

Michael Jacksons kidsMichael Jackson's kids. LOL. Jacko's kids. When I hear that, I think - kids that Jacko targeted. And not the kids he pretends to parent who arrived at his home through various odd means that ought to be investigated more thoroughly.
His boys are called Prince and Blanket. Yeah, his boys are going to have a very interesting life.

Be nice, there are some Americans with legitmate claim to those titles. Though technically honorary in the US, it is customary to use them if the holder requests. My daughter’s school almost found that out.
