Romney is aligned with one of the most persecuted and oppressed minorities in history. Even in these enlightened times, millions of Americans say they would not vote for the charismatic ex-governor of Massachusetts under any circumstances.

Gimme a break! In 1995 I was hired by a Mormon-owned company, with Mormon co-workers still. Before that, I lived in Mormon-run Michigan. Until recently my state rep was a Mormon (we hope to elect him to a new office). I have nothing against Mormons in public office, and have fond if vague memories of his father.

But Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan. His actions, and inactions, as governor disqualify him for the presidency IMHO -- unless the Dem candidate turns out to be the worst of the two evils.
