I’d also note Mccain didn’t stop Bush from getting his judges. That was at a total impasse before Mccain and others acted to prevent the republicans from stupidly jumping off a cliff without a parachute by using the nuke option. Only after that did Bush nominees begin to again pass the senate. No Gang of 14, no Roberts and Alito.
Had the nuke option passed, the dems today would have nothing to prevent them from doing as they wished. The last year would have been very different.
As for FNC, why are you angry they aren’t giving Bill Clinton more publicity? Isn’t that essentially a DU complaint?
If you want something legitimate to worry about with Mccain, he’s too darn old in a youth oriented culture. Standing next to Hillary he’d make even her look young and energetic.
As I look back on the Gang of 14 incident I have come to the same conclusion as you.
McCain complained about policy in Iraq and “torture” of terror suspects.
He pushed the censorship of conservatives with McCain-Feingold and amnesty for illegals with Ted Kennedy.
He’s just another conservative.....NOT candidate.
I believe the ‘nuke’ option had never been used on JUDGES before. That is how it was different.
I did not come off correctly. What Rush stated about BillyJeff was not a complement. It was damaging analysis against the Clintons. That is what I meant by cherry picking. The media reports what they see as bickering between the Republicans but do not report damaging analysis of the Dems.
