Ron Paul is a nut for being completely unconcerned with nuclear proliferation in the Islamic world, and for thinking that the Cold War deterrence doctrine of mutually assured destruction ("MAD") would work with people (including terrorist orgs unaffiliated with any nation) who believe that killing "infidels" secures them an eternal date with 72 virgins in the afterlife.

Islamists shouldn't be expected to act like the (comparatively rational) Soviets.
