In and hoping TGO decides to come back early and tell us the real threat and why the events in Pakistan are so serious.

I know, I’m dreaming.

Thanks to Godzilla for pointing to this article:

“Pakistan: Al-Qaeda claims Bhutto’s death”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Karachi, 27 Dec. (AKI) - (by Syed Saleem Shahzad) - A spokesperson for the al-Qaeda terrorist network has claimed responsibility for the death on Thursday of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

“We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat [the] mujahadeen,” Al-Qaeda’s commander and main spokesperson Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid told Adnkronos International (AKI) in a phone call from an unknown location, speaking in faltering English. Al-Yazid is the main al-Qaeda commander in Afghanistan.

It is believed that the decision to kill Bhutto, who is the leader of the opposition Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), was made by al-Qaeda No. 2, the Egyptian doctor, Ayman al-Zawahiri in October.

Death squads were allegedly constituted for the mission and ultimately one cell comprising a defunct Lashkar-i-Jhangvi’s Punjabi volunteer succeeded in killing Bhutto.”

I’m wondering why two Al Q bigs claimed responsibility and folks only noticed one though. Nevermind.

Here’s your surprise.

All from this thread:
Dem presidential candidates respond to Bhutto assassination

CLINTON: “Today the world once again is reminded of the dangers facing those who pursue democracy and free elections, in Pakistan and elsewhere in areas that are rife with conflict and violence and extremism and anti-democratic forces at work,” Clinton said...”I have known Benazir Bhutto for a dozen years and I knew her as a leader. I knew her as someone willing to take risks.”

My comment:
I bet she does; I was waiting for her statement. Be right back.

Okay.

This one new, it’s great that Mansour Ijaz is mentioned (now I really have to go back and dig).

Flashback:The Fraud That Is Benazir Bhutto, The Taliban And The Leftists Who Love Her

Snip: (this is the two-sided Hill, observe)

Benazir Bhutto and Hillary Clinton have strong ties. Bhutto has hired Clinton campaign staffers. See this for some Bhutto background on corruption and political ties here in the US. It’s no wonder the Clinton campaign has been silent on the matter of Pakistan and Ms Bhutto.

BTW, Forgive me if you think my purpose was to speak ill of the dead... It pissed me off to see her killed, just like it would if it were Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Hillary or even JFK. But for our own good, we have to look at some facts and where things might stand now.

Ping me with different takes.
