Sorry for the triple post, it kept saying Proxy Error so I would try again, then they all posted. Never had that problem before, am trying to get it corrected.

I did see the sad news about Dan. He was such a major talent from our generation, the loss hit me hard.

Oh Aqua! what a great thread & LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the patriotic colors!. Will re read all the information tonight (just scanned)

I have never been to Times Square..

EVER..

only once in NYC even & that was when I finished OCS & was dropping off my friend who lived there on the way back from RI to Ohio. BUT, I was very sick with strep & so she drove my car & I was in her bed for 3 days sick instead of being tourist. I HAD to leave on day 4 -still not well -as I resumed college classes again the next day.

I will dig out my pix from last years New Years Eve in your backyard (Asheville - Grove Park Inn & Biltmore).. that was one of the niceest LONG weekend NYE’s I have ever had. My friend spoiled me rotten with body wraps, massages, facials, classy food & being tourist

opps... forgot to dress up (for Friday & New Year's Eve). I will be going to Severance Hall in Cleveland this year. There is a couple hour concert first & then in the hall a couple combos will play for dancing & it breaks up about 1. I have participated in this a few times & it is quite nice.. NOT raucous & a great group of people to chat with & meet.

My date is NOT a dancer (although he thinks he is) so that is the only downside of the evening.

Wearing RED on FRIDAY to support the Troops...

and New Years Eve because it is my favorite color!

Hi Aqua
Your thread is gorgeous! :) You look terrific in your red for the New Year!

I never had the desire to go stand in the middle of the crowd for the ball to drop.(maybe when I was younger ;) Although, it has to be a thrill and very exciting to be there in person. No matter what the weather, thousands of people are still out there. I prefer a smaller party.... I see that beautiful ball room picture on your thread and if I could be there, I would definitely go. ;)

We always watch the ball drop at midnight. I miss Dick Clark as MC for the show though.

Good morning, y'all.

WOW! Aqua that is a lovely gown.
Wish I had the figure for it. As you can see I have a full skirt to hide all the extra pounds I've accumulated over the holidays. LOL
