Sorry, but this is pretty lame reporting. I remember clearly that Romney fought this thing, and fought hard against it. It was the Supreme court of Massachusetts that forced this issue on everyone, and Romney appeared to fight it hard and well.

I’m glad you stood up to this smear. Thank you!

I'd love to see the evidence of that. Please provide me the links showing Romney's public statements and actions.

No. Romney’s fights are a flagrant fraud. When “conservatives” defending Romney’s actions on Homosexual “marriage,” gay adoption, forcing abortifacient pills on Catholic hospitals, etc, claim that the courts forced this stuff to happen, they are revealing a dangerous — no, FATAL — ignorance about our own constitutions and the extremely limited powers of judges. The Massachusetts Constitution says:
“The people of this Commonwealth are not controllable by any other laws than those ratified by their elected representatives in the Legislature.”

There is no constitution in the world that more forcefully and clearly disproves every pretense Romney and his defenders have that the courts forced any of this stuff on him. The courts have repeatedly admitted they have no such powers. REPEATEDLY! Read this, and if you deny that the plain and irrefutable meaning of the MA Constitution refutes this rubbish, then you are more liberal than the New York Times, but you just haven’t realized it yet:
44 Conservative Leaders Across America Challenge Romney’s Claim He ‘Defended’ Marriage and the Constitution”
www.massresistance.org/docs/marriage/romney/dec_letter/press_release_011107.html

The comprehensive and irrefutable constitutional proof there reveals not only the media suppressed legal realities behind Romney’s fraud on homosexual “marriage,” but also the stark dishonesty on every issue in which Romney and his sleazy “legal experts” have lied about the law and blamed judges for his own actions, many of which were grossly unconstitutional.

And, oh yeah, if you don’t believe it because it is on a site that Romney’s minions constantly slander as “fringe,” then you have to go and actually do your own original research and read the MA Constitution for yourself to learn the basic legal facts you have to know before you say the silly things you’re saying.
