There's a BS story going around about Fred not being interested in being president. Fred sets the record straight here.

I met Fred and like him. Let’s see a Thompson/Hunter ticket. (Not Holly Hunter)
Speaking of Holly Hunter, here is a laugh out loud interview in which the TV personality makes a fool of herself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbpUwx_YLGc

Here's the money quote, IMHO.
Im only consumed by very, very few things. Politics is not one of them. The welfare of our country and our kids and grandkids is one of them.
Funny the hack "reporter" didn't use THAT for the headline < /sarcasm >

The reporter he refers to, has she a name? An email perhaps? She needs to be encouraged to make a correction.

I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks — I read it.
As I said somewhere earlier, I know what Fred MEANS, but he should have realized how it will come across. He also never talks about how he will beat Hillary — he needs new batteries and a wind up. The goal is not the nomination, it’s the presidency and you can’t beat Hillary with lengthy explanations of your misstatements. Since Fred got in so late, everyone was expecting him to hit the ground running, and instead, he makes dumb remarks, such as the one is under scrunity. Now he has to explain, no, I didn’t really mean that, etc.

Please help me to call on all Freepers for Fred to pray for him.FWIW, I've been prating for FRed since last June when it first looked like he was serious about this.
IMHO, our country is standing before a cliff. FRed, and I, want the country to turn around and go the other way. Senator Clinton and the other RAT scumbag wannabe candidates want the country to jump off the cliff, trusting them that they'll catch us. Not likely.
If a Conservative, and I specifically did NOT type "a Republican," like FRed does not lead this country come 2009, we'll be a third world country within five-six years.
