When it comes to deciding between the veracity of the Club For Growth versus the Huckster, it takes nanoseconds. The CFG has had an excellent record backing candidates who firmly believe in reducing the size and scope of govt as opposed to this Big govt Clinton clone.

They may back candidates who "believe" all sorts of things. Now, how is their track record in backing candidates who, when elected, actually did reduce the scope and scale of government.

Remember, a wish and $1.86 will get you a venti at the Springfield Starbucks.

Based on their own criteria, they would have run ads against Ronald Reagan when he ran for president because he too supported popular tax increases while governor of California to provide infrastructure.

This is the job that state and local governments are to do, not the federal government. That belief is called federalism.
