I hear ya KJC1, ran into a “sobriety” check point this evening, normally I despise those things (NCSHP run check point) but the officer was clear, roll down the window, chat a bit, off you go.
He was only checking to see if
A. I was wearing the seat belt
B. Had been drinking.
Folks, a .357 mag bullet travels at 1,400 ft per second with 900 ft pds of energy or so, a Vehicle can travel 60 mph + with a ft pd of energy around 37,000 ft per second, far mroe deadly, drink if you feel like it, but do not think it is wimpy to take a cab....

Do you understand the difference between “being subject to drug testing” and mandatory random drug testing, like in many other professions?
What part of me telling you that LEOs sign on the dotted line to be subjected to drug/alcohol testing do you not understand?
OK, so you are saying LEOS are subject to routine, regular ON-GOING mandatory drug testing programs?
In other words are you picked at random, when you show up for your shift, to be drug tested as part of a mandatory routine drug testing program? I cannot possibly make this any clearer for you.

They shouldn't but are. And this has nothing to do with the question I am trying to pry out of the the other poster here. lol
Thanks. Most and I mean 99% of drivers are friendly and even thankful we are there. The other 1% are the sour and/or guilty apples who’d be the first ones to cry, “You cops let that driver through, and three people were killed!’
The checkpoints are good, really. Most people get it. Thanks for being one of them. :)
This particular check point was for a specific purpose, seat belts, and DWI’s, some check points one has to play 20 questions to navigate through and that IMO, goes to far.

I’ve been trying to follow along your line of reasoning, and may have missed what the pry bar is being applied to.

If we said NO, shit would hit the fan. If I said no, I would be put on leave, then fired if I continued to refuse.

I hope you are never required to testify in court. Repeated responses like that, and avoiding direct questions as you have demonstrated would qualify for contempt.

Well I've been giggling through your thread here and, as I see it, the question has been answered four or five times. Now it might not be the answer YOU want, but your question has been answered. If I faced you in court, I would object that you were badgering the witness.

AGAIN, at any time, any place we agree to be tested. Night or day rain or shine. On Christmas. Thanksgiving.
If you have no experience in law enforcement besides being on the ass-end of it (and my money is there based on experience), shut the f*ck up.
