“He has refused to be distracted by the character-assassins, the fear-mongers, the science-deniers and the merchants of short-term gain.”
Or facts and truth.
So telling bold face lies and scaring kids to death to promote an anti-American political agenda is both ethical and Christian. If it is, I don’t want any.
Who are these smacktards?
Would some of the resident Baptist Freepers, please explain this?
Commies
So... let's see... we're gonna give algore Baptist of the year, while at the same time shaming Baptists.
Hmmmmmmm.... Maybe because Baptists believe in truth over fiction.
You know Bill Clinton is a Baptist too, they will probably give him the award for Most Ethical Baptist of the Year.
I thought Baptists have issues with lying?
Oh great, more “make crap up” theology. Wonderful.
All your Baptists are belong to us.
“stuck in the rut of spiritualized reading of the Bible”
Maybe this guy wants to remove all the miracles from the Bible, as others have attempted.
NEWSWEEK: AL GORE NOW WORTH MORE THAN $100 MILLION
[Since 2000, according to published reports, the former veep has transformed himself from a public servant with around $1 million in the bank to a sparkling private consultant with a net worth estimated to be north of $100 million. Hes a senior adviser to Google, a board member at Apple and now a newly minted general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the Silicon Valley venture-capital firm that made billions investing early in Netscape, Amazon and Google.]

I'm Baptist, and that's the first time I ever heard that Algore claims to be "Baptist"...
“Regrettably no Baptist has received less applause from Baptists than Gore, a shameful but not unexpected reality from a people snarled in religious fear, suspicious of science and stuck in the rut of spiritualized reading of the Bible.”
But that pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it? “. . . stuck in the ‘rut’ of spiritualized reading of the Bible” Uh, how are we supposed to read The Bible, Sir? With a lack of spirituality?
This guy along with Gore are BINOs. Gore, like Clinton, is using their nonexistent religious beliefs for nothing more than partisan politics. It’s all about putting on a front, duping enough people into thinking there are rock solid Christians, for nothing more than political expediency. They’ll use whoever for whatever, even in the name of faith.
The author of this article is just the same. As phony as it gets, just like the aforementioned. There’s a reason why “no Baptist has received less attention from Baptists than Gore.” He’s not one of us and we know it.
