It is my opinion that the media overrates the acquisition of a Top Secret security clearance. It is also my observation that security clearances are easy to get, but harder to keep and maintain.

Having said that, I would love to work in the White House some day. Unfortunately, I do not qualify. At least, not as a soldier. But there is a very good chance some day soon I will be working in a building somewhat near the White House.

Some are and some aren't.

But the key here is that the "local area commander" is ultimately responsible for issuing and revoking security clearances.

As Commander in Chief, Clinton could clear whomever he pleased.
