Most of the scrutiny came from other candidates and the Internet blogs and message boards, not from much of the MSM who were pushing for Huckabee.

I doubt Huckabee ever really surged....just the MSM initial attempt at getting Huckabee the Nomination by building some pretend ground swell....they know very well that Huck is the only candidate they (the DNC and the Media) can easily defeat....

From the get go I never believed in the "Huck" surge.....could be wrong, we'll just have to see....
