A MUM yesterday cradled two of her five baby girls Russian docs had wanted to abort.

The tots beat odds of six million to one to become the first quintuplets born in Britain for a decade.

Varvara Artamkin and husband Dimitri, both 29, cuddled tiny Elizaveta and Alexandra who were the first strong enough to leave incubators.

A wealthy pal paid for the teachers to come to Britain after Russian docs said not all the tots could survive – and three should be aborted.
