So he calls a press conference to show reporters what he would have shown them if he was the kind of person who did that stuff?
Does he think we are idiots?

No, I think he was listening to his campaign stuff who is itching to expose Mitt the flip flopper very badly on the air-waves, but changed his mind at the last second. From what I heard, Rollins was shocked he pulled the ads.

Huckabee drew laughter from a room full of reporters when he told them that he was going to show the ad he had just said he wasnt going to run.
They were laughing AT HUCKABEE, not with him.
Huckabee's honeymoon with the liberal press may have just ended.

Thompson said. Hes on his own. I cant help him. He added: Youre going to have to decipher that one for me later. That second statement doesn't make sense unless you match it up with his 2nd place comment yesterday. Must have promising internal polling.

Complete and utter horse$hit. They lied (surprise) when they said the just decided not to show the ad 10 minutes before the noon press conference.
An official at KCRG-TV9 TV9 in Cedar Rapids confirmed that the station received the 30-second spot from the Huckabee campaign shortly after 6 a.m. today but was told at 10:01 a.m. not to air the commercial and the station did not show the paid advertisement.

Does ANYONE still doubt the Huckster is cut from a familiar pattern in Hope, Arkansas...from cheap cloth?
The Huckster is even less qualified and more full of crap than even I had believed..
He holds a BS in TV and Communication, a BS in Biblical Studies - and a whole lot of plain ordinary unadulterated BS....

The former governor said the ad cost $30,000 to make. BTW - If I paid someone $30K for a 30' commercial, I'd expect them to notice any crosses...

The Huckster is a nasty man, hiding behind a fake “good Christian” facade. He wants it both ways, but all he’s doing is proving what a fraud and charlatan his and his ministry is.

I think Fred’s response is great, but I gotta hand it to Huckabee as well for being as creative as he is. Huckabee is again the story.

I imagine! He wasted a very valuable afternoon making a negative attack ad and now doesn’t want to use it!
Do we need a preview of a Huckabee Presidency?

This tactical response by Thompson is important. This provides some visibility into the internal polling. Huckabee is desperate because he must be seeing Romney pulling away. Of course Thompson is desperate for money because he’s in a bus, but his numbers may show Huckabee falling to within reach for 2nd (assuming McCain doesn’t overtake) — which is about the only way for Thompson to fund past Michigan.
We’ll see.

Huckabee sent a letter to his supporter on 20 December with the following:
,i>"What is also apparent, as I campaign and talk with voters, is that other Republican candidates in this race have been bombarding Iowans with negative attacks and they are TIRED of it! I believe, in fact I am betting the farm on it, that our commitment to not run negative attacks, will show undecided Iowans a clear contrast in styles and will sway them to our side."
And yet he spends all day yesterday making this ad???
The Huckabee "farm" is about to go into foreclosure.

Yes, Owen. Tell us what you know about Thompson’s campaign funds, because this is at least the 2nd time today I’ve seen you (I believe) mention Thompson’s lack of campaign funds. If you don’t know anything factual about his funds, quit acting like you do.
