The conservative movement and Republican party will have absolutely no credibility left if it decides to back Willard. Liars like Romney destroy everything they touch.
I suspect a Northeast Liberal Republican won’t sell too well in the South.
So Old Huck didn’t flip flop on the border and taxes? He also commuted the sentenses of over a 1000 criminals back into the population. Romney commuted the sentenses of none.
If I was John Kerry and one of these guys gets the nod, I would show up at the first public opportunity to deliver a pair of flip-flops. Their only hope would be a Hillary Clinton, whose postions change just as much.
Actually, we can save things that liars touch. That’s why I believe Free Republic will survive the current ends-justifies-any-means jihad that at the moment has good “conservatives” bearing false witness against public figures and freepers alike, because they mistakenly think that is the “marching orders”, and like obedient foot-soldiers they take those orders to mean “by any means necessary”.
But we will survive, and when the election is over, maybe some of those who engaged in the politics of personal destruction and slander will be men enough to apologize to those they have so falsely, rudely, and visciously maligned.
