TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A beauty pageant winner and law school student clerking for a federal judge faces charges that she kidnapped and tortured an ex-boyfriend.
Twenty-5-year-old Kumari Fulbright was indicted with three men December 18th by a Pima County Superior Court grand jury.
Fulbright faces charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated robbery and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Fulbright was Miss Pima County in 2005 and Miss Desert Sun in 2006, and sought the title of Miss Arizona during those years.
The Arizona Daily Star says Fulbright clerked for U.S. District Judge Raner Collins as a University of Arizona law school student.
The newspaper reports the alleged assailants held a 24-year-old man captive for 10 hours on December 8th while robbing and torturing him.

The article has no details of the "torture" -- it's all about the armed robbery and whatnot. Given that there were three males in addition to the high-profile female, one wonders what the real story is behind this. She would have no reason to rob her ex-boyfriend; she may have had incentive to torture him.
But somehow, it seems unreasonable that she would throw away her recent beauty-queen status and law career for a robbery.
So I dunno about "Not Guilty", but I don't buy that she was the ringleader, in any case.
Are more details available anywhere?
Got that right, sooner are latter one of them will mess his drawers.
Kumari Fulbright and 3 men tied up a man, aged 24, when they used plastic cable ties and duct tape on him on Dec. 8. They kidnapped him and held him against his will at 2 places in North Side and Midtown. The 4 suspects threatened the victims life, intimidated him with their pistols and robbed him of his wallet, cell phone, briefcase, and about $600.
Kumari bit him with her teeth, frightened him with a butcher knife and threatened to kill the victim. The drama eventually ended when the man snatched away Kumaris gun and it fired. He dashed out of the house and screamed for help. The police checked his injuries and believed his story of his abduction.
The newspaper also said the documents accused Fulbright of biting him several times, sticking a butcher knife in his ear, saying she was going to kill him and pointing a pistol at him

Imagine what she does to her pageant competition!
He probably DESERVED it.
According to the police investigation, Robert Ergonis was Fulbright’s boyfriend before she dated the 24-year-old man.
Ergonis had given Fulbright a large amount of expensive jewelrey, which they believed the 24-year-old had stolen, Pacheco said.
Kumari Fulbright, 25, stuck a butcher’s knife in her former lover’s ear and repeatedly bit him while he was held captive for ten hours, court documents reveal.
Her attorney, Tom Hartzell, said she was a promising law student who hoped to specialize in entertainment law.
I'm already entertained. (Paging Greta, paging Greta.)
At one of the two houses, according to search warrant documents filed in court, police recovered a spent bullet, as well as .45-caliber ammunition, plastic gloves, marijuana and the victim’s wallet and bookcase. At the other house, authorities recovered duct tape.
Tom Hartzell, Fulbright’s attorney, did not immediately respond to a message left by ABC News but suggested to the Arizona Daily Star that the ex-boyfriend’s criminal history may compromise his credibility as a witness.
