An IAF air strike in Gaza killed a Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) leader on Wednesday night.
IDF troops kill Palestinian operatives in a pre-dawn anti-terror operation
The PRC leader was traveling in a car when it was hit by an IAF missile.
Moments earlier, al Aksa Martyrs Brigades claimed that it had fired a rocket from Jenin toward the northern Samaria settlement of Shaked.
However, the defense establishment said it was unaware of such an attack.
The air strike came the night after IDF troops reportedly killed seven Palestinian gunmen, including at least three Hamas members, in a pre-dawn anti-terror operation east of Gaza City. Five gunmen were wounded, Hamas said.
The body of the seventh man, killed overnight, was turned over to Palestinian medics by Israel. The IDF said he was killed while trying to infiltrate into Israel.
The army confirmed that ground troops and aircraft fired at gunmen who had shot anti-tank missiles toward the soldiers.
Hamas vowed revenge. "This is part of the ongoing conspiracy against the resistance. Resistance is not going to stop," said Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan.
In addition, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's spokesman Nabil Abu Rdeneh denounced the IDF raid as an "aggressive act that aims to escalate the situation prior to the visit of President Bush, to try to impose a security agenda on the visit and evade implementing political commitments."
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Wednesday that Israel was trying to avoid a large military operation into Gaza, but that there may be no choice to stop Kassam rocket fire.
"We will provide the answer to the Kassam," Barak told Israel Radio. "We are not drifting toward the big operation but we will also not refrain from it if and when it becomes necessary."
Barak said that the limited Israeli operations in Gaza had killed 60 Palestinian militants in the past month, and a total of 200 in all of 2007.
On Tuesday, Palestinians fired two Kassam rockets from the Gaza Strip into the western Negev.
Army Radio reported that one of the rockets landed inside a residential area in Sderot while the other fell in an open area outside the town.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
“This thread is worthless w/o accompanying Palestinian car swarm photos.”
I was thinking more of a shot of a bucket of KFC extra Crispy
I’ll take a order of onion rings with that crispy fried terrorist!
From an earlier thread about the aftermath of cockfighting matches:
“Try our KFC `Bucket O’ Loser’ Special!”
Somehow, it fits here. Go get ‘em, IDF!
(Oh, and I want my terrorist Extra Crispy)
;^)
“Morgue swarm:”
Thanks for clarifying. I thought they were picking out future drawers for themselves!
Sounds like a great opportunity for a second missle...:)
Coulda been a loose Radiator Cap??
Pray for W and the IAF
The IDF is slipping - I can still tell it’s a car.
Help Wanted: PRC Leader, experience not required. Must have the ability to duck. Benefit package includes slightly damaged car.
I expect to see Islamic rage boy and Looter guy partying with each other LOL!
Well nobody is perfect
I was thinking about a delayed reaction explosion. Israel already uses tandem charges on its anti-tank missiles.
I say, old man! Good show!
BTW - I think the fact that the car swarmers do what they do is a testimony of the type of organizations the IAF/IDF really are. Think about it - if the IAF/IDF were the murderous scoundrels that the Palestinians make them out to be, then why would there be a car swarm instead of a reasonable response of staying inside under cover until the aircraft was well out of range.
They blowed up real good!
