A Layman's Guide to Man-Made Global Warming

A Layman's Guide to Man-Made Global Warming The purpose of this paper is to provide a layman’s critique of the Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) theory, and in particular to challenge the fairly widespread notion that the science and projected consequences of AGW currently justify massive spending and government intervention into the world’s economies. This paper will show that despite good evidence that global temperatures are rising and that CO2 can act as a greenhouse gas and help to warm the Earth, we are a long way from attributing all or much of current warming to man-made CO2. We are even further away from being able to accurately project man’s impact on future climate, and it is a very debatable question whether interventions today to reduce CO2 emissions will substantially improve the world 50 or 100 years from now.

A video version of this guide called What is Normal? A Critique of Catastrophic Man-Made Global Warming Theory is now available for free download.

A Youtube Playlist for the film is here. This is a cool feature I have not used before, but will effectively let you run the parts end to end, making the 50-minute video more or less seamless.

ice on my SUV's windshield, hard to scrape it away, took 10 minutes ... Sat/Sun/Mon Dec 29/30/31: Kinda warm but chilly and raining, no ice on SUV windshield ... Tuesday Jan 1: Didn't go outside at all ... Wednesday Jan 2: Chilly outside, but no morning ice on SUV windshield.

Well, at least you can FIND your vehicle. LOL

That sends a chill up my spine - That's what my grandson, in the Hindu Kush mountains of northeastern Afghanistan looks like now = except I'll betcha Uncle Sam doesn't issue them the genuine fur that can keep the face from freezing - (There's a reason animals wear fur ;o) ..)

The Sky Soldiers of the 173rd are perched up there on a tiny shelf they pickaxed out of the mountain side - no warm huts, no hot meals, no running water - just lots of cold, snow and Taliban

You are right. It does only take one active volcano to change surface temperatures. I doubt this one has achieved much cooling yet, but the ash can remain airborn and affect surface temperatures for months if not years. That’s providing the volcano is a significant enough event.

That’s one of the reasons why global warming was always an iffy proposition for me. If we could drive temperatures down, it might be the wrong thing to do just before a significant volcanic event.
