Glad you found the video as well.

What a great speech.

I especially cheered out loud with the line ...

"It is not about me!
"It is not about you!
"It is not even about Iowa!

"It is about OUR COUNTRY!!!"

Yes it is about our country.

What a fine candidate. We need to do all we can to support him in the weeks ahead. We need him.

If any FRed supporters are even the slightest bit down at Fred taking third, I highly recommend this video. You’ll see that Fred is upbeat and ready to move forward and you’ll see the class act that is Fred Thompson.

Fred while not doing so bad in the money end of things is going to need much more. Implore all those who think as you to dig deep and dig often. This is one of those pivotal times in our republics history that those who really love her and want to see some sense of return to Constitutional conservatism need to make some sacrifices. Perhaps that two week vacation this summer really only needs to be one.
Gonna trade that 2002 Chevy in this year - Well perhaps one more year with new batteries and tires will suffice.

It really is put up or shut up time for the republic.

Check the other side of that truck... I think there’s a couple of flats over there...

You said — “You’ll see that Fred is upbeat and ready to move forward and you’ll see the class act that is Fred Thompson.”

You’re right, he’s a good “class actor” all right.

I thought when he played District Attorney on Law and Order, he was very good in that role, too. He definitely knows how to play his roles....

By the way, just robbed Peter once again to send the second $100.00 to Fred in as many days.

I suppose you're going to do the Christian thing and offer to help fix those flats? Ahh, right, Fred didn't use Jesus Christ enough in some transcript you read.

Excuse us while we put the wheels back on and get back on the road.

Huh? Didn’t use Jesus Christ enough? Is that what you said? Well, try “doesn’t even know His name”... LOL

Didn’t use it at all...

Well then, that’s an absolute determiner of who should be president. I’ll forward it onto Hillary so she can use Jesus Christ twelve times in her next speech, and you can place your vote for her.

I myself was raised not to use the Lord’s name in vain. When I say the Lord, people know whom I’m talking about, I don’t have to name drop it like some Hollywood portrayal of a ‘Christian.’ But this, of course, makes me not a Christian in your opinion.

And this was most explicitly why the framers of the Constitution put forth the establishment clause, so that no one could come forward, in the guise of government, and say ‘You’re not a Christian because you didn’t do ‘this’’. It’s not a separation of church and state, it’s a separation of elitist from the power to determine someone’s faith.

I remember a day not so long ago when hate wasn’t part of the Christian ethos, where if you felt someone was off the path of righteousness, you’d lead them back through example. Instead we’ve the worst kind of religious bigotry; that of moral superiority.

You’re welcome to it. The rest of us have an election to fight for.

Well, you know..., I find you’re just like some other posters, who comment, but never read up on what was said. Read the other posts first, before you comment on stuff like this. I’ve already covered it.

As I have said so many times now..., the *first criteria* is that the candidate must be a Christian. It’s not the “last criteria” and neither is it the “only criteria”. It is simply the *first criteria*.

And after that criteria is passed, then the rest of the criteria, which are of a political nature, has to be met. And then, it’s just like the rest of the political discussions, but (of course) it still has the principles and values of Christian theology to guide the Evangelical voter, through the political hurdles.

Star Traveler

Actually, I went through the last seven pages of your comments before responding to you, reading exactly what you’ve said. It is a case of religious elitism; you’re choosing to determine who may call themselves Christian, using standards that would exclude every one of the founding fathers of this nation, and indeed, 1900 years of the Christian church.

How did Christianity survive until this point, I won’t understand, since obviously they aren’t Christians for the lack of using Jesus Christ in their writings and speeches. Thankfully we have elitists such as yourself to point us in the right direction.

Somehow, though, I don’t seem to remember the writings of Paul, of John, or even the Lord himself putting such limits on those who would follow the faith. Is the Pope Christian? His speeches don’t use the words ‘Jesus Christ’, are you telling his one billion followers that they, too, don’t measure up?

You’re welcome to your opinion, you’re also responsible for your opinion, and I’ll attack elitism whenever I come across it.
