Our power company has something similar to this in place on a voluntary basis.

Sure, I’m going to sign up to allow the power company to regulate the temperature in my house. Riiiight.

If the price is right, I will sign up. I would have to get a significant break on cost, though.

--the REA co-op my folk were in nearly fifty years ago also had a voluntary program like this for off-peak power with a clock control.

-- Of course , the users learned to turn the clock ahead to game the system, resulting in radio control--

Yes, same here. So Cal Edison has been hammering us with litter-ature for several years attempting to control our thermostat during peak usage times. Riiiiiiiiight, I’m going to allow them to cutoff my A/C at peak usage times. Usually above 105 deg. Fah. here in the Valley. Like “H” I am.

This regulation by the State has to be defeated and common sense has to win over the Nanny Stating groupthink. Nuclear Power, drill for new oil supplies, and forget about Globull BS Warming.
