Cheers!

Fred Thompson is more pro-life than Huckabee.

I wouldn't say that, Huck is just an idiot and pro-lifers don't want idiots representing them, even if the idiot is strongly pro-life.

Maybe this will make it easier to defend against those attack emails claiming he supports abortion.

BTW, all the attacks would seem to indicate somebody is worried about Fred.

He told those of us who attended the Value Voters event in Washington, DC, that he has always been opposed to abortion. He explained that his views were sharpened when he saw his daughter’s ultrasound - his head and his heart got together.

Here’s the statement from his website:

He is the one to trust.

Okay. I believe him, but how is this not a flip flop like Romney who became pro-life when he had to sign pro-abortion legislation? As far as I can tell, McCain is the only one of the major candidates who has long been a pro-lifer.

lol Huck is alot of things but he’s not an idiot. He’s a slick politician who won without the support of the Republican establishment, talk radio, and the bulk of the blogosphere (including FR).

I’ve heard that Hunter could do well there as well, since he’s actually campaigned there and his wife has family ties in the state.

Good distinction. I should have said Thompson is more beneficial to the pro-life movement than Huckabee.

Only about seventy gajillion times.

It was a file form most likely filled out by a low level staffer or intern. Fred’s voting record has never reflected anything like the statement in that form and the National Right to Life had an article/letter about this very subject released when they endorsed Fred.

A comment to me (and others, repeated many times) on last night's Iowa live thread by a Huckster supporter:

For me, the *first criteria* is that a candidate is Christian. Thompson has failed that criteria with me. Then after seeing that a candidate is Christian (which would have to be someone other than Thompson), then one can get into the political matters... Regards,

Fred Thompson is more pro-life than Huckabee.

By lifting his little finger.

Fred doesn't stand a chance against Huckabee however when it comes to personal gratification achieved and using the position of POTUS to sate it.

Fred's convictions are deeper than that me thinks.

Fred Thompson; 3 Jan 2007 at thank you speech in Iowa after Cauus:

"It isn't about me!
"It isn't about you either!
"It isn't even about Iowa!
"It is about OUR COUNTRY!!!!

What a great off the top of his head absolute truth!

Motivated me to send a second $100.00 contribution in as many days, and I really have to scramble to afford it.

Point is, to me and I hope many other Americans, getting fred to the big dance is just that type of imperative.

The Republic for which we stand needs Fred Dalton Thompson at this most critical juncture in our history!
