I have a pretty good memory too. And I remember quite well how so many haughty supporters of other candidates used to tell us that back when Fred was thinking about getting in.
Then, Fred’s work and position papers set the standard for all the candidates. A standard, which nary a single one has yet to live up to, I might add.
I stand by my comment as well.

(Yeah, I'm a bigot. I'm bigoted against MA liberals pretending to be conservative.)

Have you EVER seen a FReeper FRedhead say that his acting weighed into their decision to support FRed?
I NEVER have. I have seen many say they haven’t even seen him in anything.

Well, as PoliticalMom implied, you cannot place everyone into a group. I'll be honest: I had never heard of Fred Thompson before about May 2007. I don't watch TV, and was the "wierd" smart kid that got teased in Junior High. Have never been much for popularity, and have always sought the truth in favor of perception.
I had heard of Duncan Hunter and had been following him since about 2003 because of his Right to Life Act work. Having been teased and bullied in school, I have always identified with the unborn and since age 16 (I'm over 30 now) have been an active and vocal pro-lifer.
FWIW
