although this is a matter of opinion. here's what i took away:
his first question was very direct. "is your campaign low on money?"
her response: "BILL! none of the other wives get asked those hard questions!"
it made me cringe a little. yes, bill interrupted her but he just wanted to know why fred had not been on bill's show yet. she dodged that question over and over.
finally, she said, "bill, why haven't you discussed fred's plan to save social security?
bill's response: "well, if he'd come on the show he could have all the time he wants to talk about it!"
fair enough.
basically, she has strikes against her from the outset due to her relative youth, beauty, and trophy-wife status. they might be unfair criticisms, but we know how undecided voters make their choices and she will play into their decision.
look, i LOVE fred! i just want him to do well. just go on the the factor and explain your points. fred can handle bill! the factor's audience is huge.
That's BO's schtick. Any one that goes on O'Reilly to advance their own cause is making a huge mistake.
Coulter is the exception, she's the only person I've seen that can spank him. And she relishs it when she does.
He's not called Bill "The Bloviator" O'Reilly for no reason.
That's total BS. And BO knows it.
Most of us love Fred and we all know that Bill is a “pompous liberal windbag”.
But why HASN’T he gone on the Factor?? He takes the other candidates to task after that Iowa debate for not standing up to the moderator but won’t face Bill??
Jeri did dodge the money question and maybe it wasn’t fair.. but she dodged it nonetheless. Though it probably wouldn’t matter since Bill would have talking right over here anyway.
I HATE how he interrupts EVERYONE.
He probably interrupts himself when talking to himself...
bill’s response: “well, if he’d come on the show he could have all the time he wants to talk about it!”
To which she responded: Oh yeah Bill then it would be all love and roses?
Great response. I did not get the impression Factor did at all. Against Mr Ego..she handled herself very well. Maybe you just couldnt hear her answers over Bills Egotistic ranting.
Nothing to be gained. That's why.
Now that's funny.
he needs to argue his points to the largest possible audience. bill is a necessary evil, imho. fred is quick on his feet and witty to boot. as we saw in the debates, he does not let moderators or interviewers dictate discourse.
oh Lawd...laugh a little in life.
She was being sarcastic. I stand by the fact that she did well. Have a good night.
No finger into the wind for Fred!
We need him!
I thought she did fine.
don’t send your wife to do your job. IMHO, of course.
You all might kill me for this, but, I think Bill Clinton had the skills to make a good VP. He can appear very sincere and caring when he chooses to. I would not however have wanted Bill in a position where he could have become a leader. Since he leads by consensus and triangulation.
