This isn’t directly a propos to your post but I’m curious as to how many FReepers share my amusement. The Democratic party is the great practitioner of racial, ethnic, and gender-identity politics. You see innumerable “caucus” factions in Congress, too many to cite here. Now that the primary has come down to a contest between a black male and a female, why don’t we hear from all the feminist groups? What about the black lobbyists who demand that a black is entitled to be president after so many years of oppression? And why not a black FEMALE? And Richardson can’t be left out because we need a Hispanic! And Hillary is not just a female but a WHITE(!) female. Have you noticed that all the MSM utter nary a peep - because they’re all liberals? It seems that it’s better to keep the balkanization of American politics in a discrete PC silence if a white male can’t be traduced and castigated as part of the “establishment.” The silence speaks volumes!

There’s a lot of “cross-over” going on with the Dem voters.

As of 11/07, blacks favored Hillary over Obama.

In Iowa, which is 95% white, white Dems favored Obama. In NH today, Obama got 3,000 white folks at a rally, twice the expected crowd. And NH is 96% white.

Liberal men are not voting for Hillary. The very vocal anti-Bush, anti-war lib men I work with were talking about voting for McCain two years ago! (Maybe they are switching to Obama now.)
