I remember when Halle Berry won an Oscar, and she said on stage she was "black" this and "black" that.

I wondered how her mom (who is white) felt at that moment.

My neighbor's mom was white (German), and his dad an African-American.

He told me it was a "horrible struggle" to him in his upbringing because of the pressure of the "black community" to force him to disavow any aspect of his mother's race. He was ashamed of her.

He said only in later life did he realize how much pain and suffering he caused her by never wanted to acknowledge her.

I asked him what changed his mind, and he told me that he finally woke up and realized the "Black Community" were a bunch of self-hating jerks, and him mom was - his mother.

It is so ironic that the claims of the most virulent racists in history--that one drop of the "other" race made you a part of that race--is now adopted by the universities and the MSM as standard discourse.

It was wrong then and it is wrong now.
