"Superdelegates will not buck a populus [sic] trend."

She has several publicly committed to her, and leads the current delegate total by a substantial margin. The very purpose of the superdelegate is to buck a trend. It was put in place after McGovern to prevent such a folly again.

That is good for us, actually. If Obama is winning most of the delegates through the primary process. but Hilary wins the nomination due to the super delegates (the establishment insiders), the rank and file Dems will hate her even more. While they may not vote for the Pub candidate, they will not vote and work for her, either.

If she or her delegates did what you suggest and go directly against the grain of the primary voters, there would be a riot at the convention. She cannot play “power politics” any longer without alienating the people, and that is what’s causing her rapid descent. The jig is up.
