Gathering of Eagles web site has announced that ANSWER and their ilk have cancelled their planned March 15,2008 protest.

They are instead planning to protest during General Petraeus’ April testimony on Capitol Hill.

At least it will be warmer in April!

Actually there are several conservative college groups. We have enjoyed their company at Walter Reed on many a Friday night. Since they are primarily around when school is in, they come when it is cold out. Great bunch of young adults.

From what I hear, they withdrew their permit requests.

But that won’t stop small groups from being there. Groups under 24 do not need a permit. So we’ll have to keep an eye on their web sites and respond quickly, in our own small groups of course.

It will be good though to see you on the 14th at WR.

From reading GoE and some posts there, looks like there will be something going on in April. But also it looks like a lot of people are still coming into D.C. for the Winter Soldier anti-troop events. So stay tuned.
