Just announced by C-SPAN that Ron Paul would not be interviewing live today from New Hampshire (I think they were going him 30-60 minutes).
No explanation was given.
Seems odd given given his shutout from the Fox "debates".
Anyone know what's up?

Easy answer...there were no straw polls planned after the interview so nothing for his Jim Jones Cult on the net to brag about.

OK WITH THE JOKES.
I’m not a Paul supporter.
Again, anyone know why he dropped out?
That’s a heck of a lot of primo free airtime.

No, this was a last minute thing that C-SPAN has been announcing for the last several hours.
All of the sudden it’s cancelled.
Odd.

Black Ops have shut down Ron Paul as a perceived National Security Threat.
To: angkor
Maybe somebody on his staff committed him to it without realizing there was a scheduling conflict?
(Either that, or he watched a tape of his performance last night and realized it’s time to pack it in.)

Hyuck hyuck hyuck.
Maybe Paul didn’t cancel it, and CSPAN did?

Did Fox change their mind?

Sounds like that the thing wasn’t confirmed and it’s in conflict with his other event that was already arranged. Just a guess on my part...

Sure. Could be.
But long ago I worked in the national office of a presidential campaign, and it’s hard to envision ANYTHING or any amount of campaign money that would cause him to walk from C-SPAN at this particular time, on this particular Sunday.

My best guess is that his campaign advisers told him that 30-60 min of questions would prove to the voters that he is borderline insane.

Not joking here:
I long ago gave up trying to understand why that man does anything - thus why he’s on the fringe.

Maybe Paul didnt cancel it, and CSPAN did? Dunno. Seems easy enough to keep on track:
CSPAN: Mr. Paul, you'll be on from 2PM ET until 3PM ET. Does that work?
PAUL: Yep.
CSPAN: OK, We'll see you then.
PAUL: OK.
Hard to screw that up. C-SPAN had been announcing it several hours.

possible - their decision is outrageous given Pauls third place standing in the NH poll - and even with the Iowa winner.
