I heard the announcement as we are tuned in to CSPAN for the day but no explaination.

Time/sched conflict is the only thing I can think of.

(Either that, or he watched a tape of his performance last night and realized it’s time to pack it in.)

Not according to the FR poll where the alleged kook took 3rd.

"(1/5) Which GOP presidential hopeful did the best job of advancing his chances in tonight's debate?"

Member Opinion
Fred Thompson 68.3% 456
Mitt Romney 12.4% 83
Ron Paul 6.0% 40
Rudy Giuliani 5.2% 35
Mike Huckabee 4.5% 30
John McCain 3.6% 24
100.0% 668

No, this thread is about Run Paul, or Ru Paul, or whatever we want to call this al Qaeda apologist. It’s not about neo-cons, but better a neo-Con who supports America than a Run Paul supporter who apologizes for and rationalizes al Qaeda’s mass murders as being caused by the US’s unwillingness to follow his neo-isolationists discredited theories, discredited by WWI and WWII. Al Qaeda kills civilians all over the world for it’s own reason. Only the dilettante Dr. Paul wants us to believe that’d be no problem if we’d merely follow his doctrines. Of course, his cult does buy in to this unhistorical rubbish.

And consider this. Besides voting for a lot of weird things, what has he accomplished in congress? What law did he sponsor and guide through congress? The man is as empty of a suit as Barak Obama.

FReep Jeopardy:

1) Emblematic of today’s Republican party...

2) Disappointing to see a serious, conservative forum...

3) Venom that should be reserved for the opposition...

4) Like school children, piling on...

5) Cognitive dissonance, and the emotional projection therewith

Anyone know the Question?

I’m tempted to watch that instead of Fox because Fox is total garbage. But all of this is too important, and I have to support Fred even when he’s on a POS network.

I have stopped watching Fox. Them not including Hunter sealed it for me. However, I might tune into parts of the debate tonight. Haven’t decided for sure yet. Either way, I’m done with Fox news.

don’t let the Paulites try and fool you. The blimp isn’t a campaign tool, it’s an aerial observatory used to protect Ron Paul from those stealth black helicopters who’ll swoop in on him any minute and haul him off to Gitmo.

Think of it this way: the “conservative” weenies/talking heads at Fox (e.g., notorious bean counter Fred Barnes) decided that they’d once again thwart “the Libertarians” from engaging in serious national debate, and so Paul must go.

I’m not a Paul supporter, but I know for a fact that the Beltway MSM will do whatever possible to avoid “legitimizing the candidacy” of Libertarians (which Paul is, was, and always will be). I heard Bruce Morton of CBS say exactly that to an LP presidential candidate in former times, to which the candidate said “I’m on 50 state ballots and already ‘legitimate’.”

Fox does not live up to its motto when it excludes entire swaths of legitimate ideology.

I thought the question of this thread was about C-Span?

(Not that I am happy with FNC, quite the opposite, FNC only has eyes for McCain)

My best guess is that his campaign advisers told him that 30-60 min of questions would prove to the voters that he is borderline insane.

That's odd. How would one explain the debates, that last all of an hour or so, with 7 people on stage, with 30 seconds or so to answer questions, with time buzzers going off etc.

Each and every debate with that many people on stage should last 3 hours or more, for public service. Whats the hurry?

Are they not important enough?
