I personally think Mitt would be the best nominee, however, I believe it would be easier for Mitt to beat Hillary. Obama is going to be very difficult. He doesn’t have any of Hillary’s baggage not to mention how well spoken he is. Plus, Obama has a likeability factor. Despite these advantages, I still hope Hillary doesn’t get the nomination.

“FT has said over and over and over and over that NH is not a state he even cares about. 1% does not mean anything.”

By contrast, even if Mitt comes in second place, he will still be in a very good position to still win the nomination. He will still be the one with the most delegates. He showed how he is up to the fight in last nights debates. It tells something about a person when then can come in second and still come out swinging the next day. It shows a certain kind of strength that can’t be denied. It also showed why Mitt has been so successful in business and why that success can be transered politically. I think people who continue to bash Mitt are really misguided. It also tells me something about Fred that he would rather endorse someone like McCain over either Bush or Mitt. From what I am hearing about Fred, he will likely endorse McCain, and I think that is too bad because Fred has some good qualities, but whatever they aren’t it’s not enough apparently to give him good judgement.

What concerns me more is the disgusting choices ahead in the GOP.

“I guess we are going down. Another Dole-like year. The Democrats will kill us with socialism...or maybe our Pubbie choices will too.

Guess we are all going to have to try it. Hard part is getting rid of it once folks realize the folly of their ways.”

I agree with part of what you said, the only way to try to prevent it then is to stop trying to demonize those running on the Republican side who aren’t our first choice. When I saw last nights debate, I realized that any of the Republican choices would be much better then having a Democrat in the White House. When it comes right down to it, each of the Republican Candidates has something that is likeable, none is bad to the bone. The same can’t be said about Hillary.

You may be right. In a way, I agree. But in another way, people sometimes need to know what bad is to appreciate good.

Remember Jimmah? I really would have to think long and hard about voting for a Rudy or a Huck. They may do more long term harm than good.

I will critique all those in the race. Most of these folks are not conservatives. I am a conservative first.

I wasn’t saying that Fred was dropping out or even that he should. I wouldn’t be upset if he won the nomination. I am just doing some defending of Mitt.
