This "super delegate" thingy is a bit weird. I'm not sure I understand how all this works.

What did she do to get these? Why didn't her rivals get any?

The superdelegates are members of Congress, state party officials, etc. She may have called in some chits to get them. I think that they can change their commitments to her before the convention but the primary delegates are committed through the first vote. Obama had 76, with Iowa now has 93. Edwards had around 46, now about 60.

These delegates are party hacks who can pretty much do their own thing based on meetings in “smoke filled rooms.” They are NOT tied to any primaries or caucuses. So while Barack has been walking the streets lining up a handful of delegates in IA, Hillary’s cronies have been quietly lining up the party thugs in back rooms and laying out the “Cuomo scenario” to them. She LEADS in total delegates, right now-—something that most people don’t know.
