Um, the back room maneuvering over McCain would be for the opposite effect. He will not be allowed near the nomination, it is way to risky for the General. If he came unglued in the General we would be dead in the water. The RNC knows this and it’s planned for.

His current “success” is a McCain and media driven phenomena, not the GOPs. They are stupid, not suicidal.

Look for McCain to implode as is expected, or to go quietly back to the Senate after having an "issue" if he threatens down the road.

Ejon,

I am hoping your Crystal Ball doesn't break, even so I would crawl over it's broken glass Republican for Fred.

When will he unleash the presence that he has as an actor to invoke passion? Or is he overly conscious of people making the charge he is just an actor?

Is he waiting for the SC before he gives a command performance in a debate? He has been pretty good, but we need a few Reagan moments.

Can his overcome the Dominant Media with retail politics, grass roots efforts, and potentially the alternative media?

Is the NRTL endorsements and state orgs bring disenfranchised Catholics back into the GOP tent?
