Stevens and Young, both defended the use of earmarks, saying the money is there anyway, it might as well come to Alaska. Neither one, I guess, thought to say, "You know what?...we could actually save some money here and use it on our ridiculous social security entitlement and actually have the SSA purchase assets with an actual monetized value."

That is an option I guess. I would rather see all pork disappear, and all of America get wealthy by not having to pay for this crap.
