The Iranian craft came within 200 yards of the US vessels, which were sailing in international waters. Why would our commanders allow this? How many drive by explosions from rubber rafts shall we tolerate?

Forgive my ignorance on this but could a swarm of ships of this size, armed with one or two torpedoes each, do damage to a small group of ships such as this one?

They’re softening us up.
Next time they make it to 150 yards, then 100 yards.
We need to make an example of them to prevent another USS Cole in the future. imo
The Captain has a responsibilty the not only his crew, but to US citizens who paid for that ship.

Well, the Iranians didn’t get to within 199 yards of the Ship because the Commanders weren’t allowing it. They gave orders to FIRE, and the Iranians had to flee.
