“Where there is emotion, there is no substance”

Also, I have NEVER understood politicians campaigning on the promise of “CHANGE”. Right now, even less. Most importantly, what is to change about the victories against terrorists? Actually, only children and the feeble minded have a constant need for change.. it occupies their minds and stimulates their senses. If you ever did any babysitting, you know that. Only really undeveloped minds and immature personalities can be appealed to with success by promising ‘change’. It’s a permanent vacation from reality for them.

Adults, accept and really welcome the status quo.... the balance and order of a regular and uniform environment and daily routine. Basic stability and freedom from the continual chaos and disorder of perpetual and gratuitous change permits the necessary development and growth in all other areas of our lives and characters. Life itself hands people enough change to keep us busy and becoming hooked on ‘change’ is the manifestation of a truly infantile mentality.

Adults, accept and really welcome the status quo

Starting with the Boomers, Americans began to go out of their way NOT to be perceived as adults. Extending adolescence into one's 50's and 60's is pretty much considered normal.

Post-modernism couples a religious belief in change for the hell of it, with emotional infantilism.

I so agree with you.

“Change” rhetoric is just pablum. But babies like it, so . . .
