The criticisms inherent in the smears I’ve seen lately have been almost universally PC in nature.

OK, I’m confused now. If the critical items aren’t really smears and are some sort of legitimate comments, then why does the campaign denounce them as being written by a ghost writer that Paul had no control over? If they are just taken out of context or are just PC police going nuts, shouldn’t they be proud of them and use them as an opportunity to educate people about PC issues?
