Lol....Abdul and Achmed out for a spin in their new catamaran? Five tiny speedboats against a US Navy warship. Are they asking to get creamed?
What's with the "We will explode after a few minutes" line in the video?

The Iranians must be trying to provoke a confrontation. Imkokehead must have a deathwish.
The navy needs a visible laser to paint these Bozos boats with to let them know they are playing with fire.

Pisses me off, but I think we did the right thing. Some say they are getting information from how we responded. No doubt this is true. It probably makes sense to let them see a severe response only when warranted.

We’ll be fine. Secretary of Defense Gates asked the Iranians to “disavow” their “action,” and our admirals are taking care of business in the Gulf. We can get along with Iran, Syria, Sudan and all having nuclear weapons. With the mutually assured destruction doctrine in play, the jihadis wouldn’t dare launch nukes on London and the Vatican.
...makes me all warm, fuzzy and squishy just thinking about our manly leadership.
...not.

We’re pushing for a former member of a State Dept. Advisory Board (Thompson) to “take the helm” after ‘08, too. By that, we know that we’ll be safe and the best of friends with Ahmadinejad in no time.

I wonder where all of the arm chair captains are? They sure enjoyed posting a lot of BS the last time this happened with the Brits.
To: Flavius
If I was in charge I would be on an aircraft on my way to an Article 39. There would be a few less Iranians around. It is insane to let a craft that fast get that close to your ship in the open sea.
I know start the armchair admiral stuff but after the Cole and the Stark you are not getting within 2,000 meters of my ship when I am in indian country.

Unleash the CWIS on them the next time, and we will see what happens...they better bring more than 100 boats when that thing starts going off...

I think they are taking their IED tactics to the water. Planning future attacks by gaging our response to hostile actions and using this to try to direct us over their pre-planted explosives.

Two of those goobers almost ran into each other on the starboard side of that trailing ship. Would have served them right.
I think the US handled it just right. We now have video of their actions, and our warnings. If they try to get any closer next time, a shot across their bows would be a good warning. After that, if they continue approaching, they should be blown out of the water, all on tape, of course.
