Five Qassam rockets were fired from northern Gaza into the western Negev Wednesday morning, just a few hours before US President George W. Bush's expected arrival in Israel.
Three rockets landed around Kibbutz Zikim, while the other two hit outside Sderot. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Palestinian sources later reported of a loud blast sounding in the northern Strip, the result of an IDF strike in the vicinity. Eyewitnesses said at least one person was killed and four others were injured.
A short while later another Qassam fired from northern Gaza landed near a kibbutz in the Sha'ar Hanegev regional council, and two mortars landed near the security fence separating Israel from the Strip. No injuries were reported.
On Tuesday two 107 mm Katyushas were fired from Lebanon toward the western Galilee community of Shlomi. One rocket landed near a school, while the other landed on a highway leading from Shlomi to Rosh Hanikra. No injuries or damage were reported.
This is a serious and rare occurrence, but it will not lead us to alter the status quo, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in response to the attack.
I lift President Bush up to God, and pray for his safety on this visit. I know that he has not been all I hoped he would be in all things - but he was more fit to bear the burden of Office than any else who strove to wear the mantle of the Presidency during this time of war and turmoil...
May God protect and keep him!
In Jesus’ Holy name I agree with your prayer.
Amen.
Amen. That’s how I feel about him. He’s a good man.
Hear that Condi?
As long as they let these pos islamists live, there will never be peace.
Dr Rice knows that. She encourages it. Finances it.
She even poses with those who murdered Americans with glee.
