This was a crew member shooting this. Was this done as procedure or did the crew member want to get this for home movies? If it was official, they need someone who knows how to tape, and they should be suitably equipped.

You’re seeing what the Navy chose to release which most likely came from a crewmembers’ personal camera. Better stills and video exist but you, and the world for that matter, don’t have a need to know, yet.

I believe that aircraft carriers have very good video equipment to tape takeoffs and landings.
