While it bugged me when she said it, for some strange reason my son heard it a lot from me when he was a kid.

That is what I told my daughter when she was a teenager. She would say “Why”? I would say.......because I am your Mother, not your ‘friend’!

At a party the other week I had to lightly disipline my 10-year old. One of the folks at the party said something like “Well look at that - a Dad being a Dad”.
